Nickelback has reached a rare level of album sales for their All the Right Reasons, 2005 album…6 million in sales volume. That is pretty incredible and a mark that very few artists have achieved in their lifetimes. So, I wanted to say congrats to Nickelback on their latest success. May there be many more.

I recently was introduced to the world of tapers. No, they are not some kind of freaky gay group, they are people who tape live music shows. There is a huge taper website that I found recently where you can download shows with a torrent client. It is pretty crazy how many people go nutso over music. Check it out.
One of my favorite Nickelback songs is Photograph. It is the first track off of the All the Right Reasons album that caught my attention and it is one that I know a lot of other non-Nickelback groupies are fans of. If you are a big fan, then we have some good news for you. A user by the name of JohnnyB has sent in a fresh new Photograph ringtone for us to put up here on our Nickelback Ringtones website, so put it to good use and spread the good word.
Ok, well maybe they didn’t clean up, but they won two awards at this weekend’s Juno Awards. Best Group and Best Rock Album are each incredible awards on their own, but to pick up both at a single awards show is amazing. Congrats to Nickelback, they deserve it.
Nickelback Nickelback may have taken home two Juno Awards this past weekend for best group and rock album, but that wasn’t the only trophy on the rockers’ minds. True blue hoser and band bassist Mike Kroeger is bending his mind over who might win hockey’s Stanley Cup this year.
Heh, I just came across a really funny picture of Nickelback’s frontman. Well, let’s not name names here, but let’s say you could call this picture, “Nickelback and Friends.” I kind of got a kick out of it. I thought someone else might too.
Two of the hottest bands around right now, Danko Jones and nickelback have been touring the country recently…as if you didn’t know. But, Danko Jones just gave Nickelback some props in a recent interview.
“And the Nickelback guys are really, really nice guys. Their crew has been treating us really well, too. And everyone in the respective cities that we’ve been in, like local crew and everybody there, has been nice to us. I mean our name has been around for a while. If you’re into the music industry in Canada, our name has been thrown about, so we’re not coming out of left field for everybody. I’d say 50 to 60 per cent of the Nickelback crowd has heard of us. Nickelback are pretty much working man’s rock, and we’re not too far away from workin’ man’s rock, so everybody’s diggin’ it.”
Not too shabby. Rock stars and nice guys. You don’t see that everyday.
Who said Nickelback wasn’t going places? Apparently, their single, Photograph, climbed to the top of the download sales list in 28 weeks, making it the 2nd fastest climb to the top in digital music download history. Congrats Nickelback.

I guess I missed this one, but MTV has some of the first 2006 Nickelback tour dates published on their site.
